  • ❗️ Does the GitHub repository of the plugin in question have a FAQ section? If so, please skim the questions to see if your question is answered there.

  • ❗️ Has this problem been reported and fixed before?
Please search (the plugin's support thread on) the LMS forum + the closed issues section of the plugin's GitHub repository.

  • If the server log has error messages that include “can't access/create“: Does LMS have read/write permissions (755) for folders it needs to access? If not, try setting the correct permissions. If you're mounting a network share, try to mount it with NFS instead of Samba.

  • You see a Bad repository [URL to a plugin's repo update file] - 404 Not Found error message at the top of the LMS > Settings > Plugins page.
The URL of the repository may have changed or no longer exists. You can correct or remove it in the Additional Repositories section at the bottom of the page.

  • Have you tried the most frequently recommended tips?

    • Server restart
    • Wiping your LMS database (“Clear library and rescan everything“)
    • Clearing your browser cache and reloading the page if your issue is related to web skins
    • Updating to the latest LMS version to see if the problem persists
    • Updating to the latest plugin version
