AI Kids Kit

Azure Static Web Apps CI/CD

Welcome to the AI Kids Kit Project kicked off at the Fix/Hack/Learn event in Feb 2022.



Objective

To create a kit that you can use with your child (age 8-15) to introduce him/her/them to fundamental concepts of Artifical Intelligence.

The kit will include one or more of:

Artifact Purpose
Visual Storytelling Assets Graphical content like zines, videos, characters, templates and posters to engage child in discussion.
Lobe.AI Tutorials Project Ideas with Lobe.AI to train image classification models - with no code!
Lobe.AI Integrations Explore ways to use trained models with kid-friendly coding environments like MakeCode and Scratch
Demo App A standalone app that demonstrates key concepts interactively to kids, using a (virtual) robot character for interactions
Kid-Friendly Fonts Create stories using characters and slide templates, with fonts that mimic kids handwriting for fun & connection.

Docusaurus React-based Static Site Generator from Facebook. #3 on Rising Stars for SSG options.
Azure Static Web Apps Secure hosting on Azure, automated deployment workflow with GitHub Actions.
PWABuilder Auditing for performance, retrofitting into a Progressive Web App for offline usage, potential publish to app store.
