Bleeding-Edge-Duel-Disk-System

Duel Disk System for one player. Each player would have a computer (Raspberry Pi Zero or else) running the field code and connected via serial port to the Duel Disk. The computer will project the field on the ground using a pico-projector or some display unit. Cards will apear on the field as the player commands. Life Point tracking has to be done outside the system.

Prerequisites

Dependencies installation

 pip install -r requirements.txt

Installing

Upload the code to the Arduino Uno and follow the connections bellow. The code can be found in Disk Code/BleedingEdgeDD/BleedingEdgeDD.ino

--- Connection Scheme ---
Button 1 : Arduino Pin 10
Button 2 : Arduino Pin 9
Button 3 : Arduino Pin 8
Button 4 : Arduino Pin 6
Button 5 : Arduino Pin 7
Button 6 : Arduino Pin 5
Button 7 : Arduino Pin 4
NFC Reader SDA: Arduino SDA
NFC Reader SCL: Arduino SCL
NFC Reader IRQ: Arduino Pin 3

Modify line 25 of FieldCode/MainReader.py to fit the connected port of your Arduino

 port='COM12',

Add the cards used in your Main and Extra Deck into the CSV Files in the FieldCode Folder. The format should be as follows: Card Name, Card ID, Quantity

Example:

Blue Eyes White Dragon,	89631139,	3

For individual NFC Cards the Card ID has to be written as the first 8 characters in the Block 4 of the Sticker. A bulk uploading code can be achieved with the Arduino Code but is not yet implemented.

Running

Connect the Duel Disk To the PC in the COM port modified in line 25. Run the script MainReader.py will trigger the Virtual field. The field is a MR5 Field, and the buttons of the Disk are arranged in a similar manner.
