I feel like the title explains it all, but to explain further, I'd love to have to options to save before starting the highres fix as well as to save the result every x samples. This idea is heavily inspired by setting to save a copy of image before doing face restoration.
Highres fix is a blessing of a feature that make it practical to generate larger images instead of upscaling afterwards, but it is still prone to some of the same problems that both img2img, and just generating larger images in general. There are many times where the generation is looking good, but then the highres fix turns it in a bad direction. I know that I can simply right click to save the image, but that doesn't quite work for batches (bar the one result you see). I could also just regenerate it without the highres fix (setting it to the pre fix size as well), but then I'd be regenerating few minutes if progress at best to a few hours of progress at worse.
Being able set Stable Diffusion to save every x samples would be super helpful for the same reason. I'm sure we've all had moments where the results are looking good, but end up sitting in the oven a bit too long and come out weird or relatively worse. Instead of having to redo progress, having the the ideal sample saved can save a tone of time and even give more options for batches that had the same issue even if you couldn't see it. (Also good for those running SD on google colab incase google decides to disconnect them at random.)
Anyway, it's just a thought. I don't know how hard it would be to implement, but it would be only a good addition, and for those who don't need it simply don't enable it.
