How do I change the thin border-line on top of the windows 11 taskbar?

I'm trying to get a totally black taskbar for OLED-screen usage. I can set the taskbar itself to black, but there is a "border" left on top that is another color.

It is not changeable as Microsoft has recently made this in Windows 11 22H2 update (It didn't exist in 21H2), but there are other indirect solution. You can try TranslucentTB, StartAllBack, or ExplorerPatcher to modify the style of Taskbar.

The border should be same color as Taskbar color no? If we change taskbar color to Black the border should be black too?

• No it shouldn't. There was no line in Windows 11 21H2, but there is in 22H2 and is not changeable at all. A solution for this maybe a custom visual styles.
• If you set the taskbar to black, the line will stay in gray.

I used TranslucentTB to change accent color to Black and Taskbar style to Opaque and the grey line changed to Black too and is now invisible because it merges with screen black bezel

I would love to achieve the same result using WinPaletter

I'm sorry, I can't do it. Changing Registry doesn't do the same effects of TranslucentTB and I don't know the mechanism of TranslucentTB. Maybe TranslucentTB patches system files or replaces executable file for Taskbar process.
