Re-Splashed Mod

Made by @AbyssalCreature, with help from @ANXvariable & @Ehseezed,

The AM2R Re-Splashed project changes many visuals withing the game to feel smother and more fitting of the environment that it exists in. As an added bonus this is also really good for photosensitive eyes as it tones down a lot of the extreme colors and the harsh flash of the Power Bomb explosions.

Versions are split in two sets by suit colors: 2D/3D; and they're organized as it follows:

2D Palettes:

  • Power suit designs are based off of Super Metroid's suits.
  • Fusion suit designs are based off of Metroid Fusion's suits.

3D Palettes:

  • Power suits are based off of Prime 1's suits.
  • Fusion suits are based Samus Returns' fusion suits.

How to enable custom palettes:

  • Go to Extras > Fusion Style and set it to Default
  • Go to Multitroid Settings, choose your preferred color; set Palette to Custom & set self palette to enabled.
  • Finally, connect to a Multitroid server.

WHEN NOT USING MULTITROID, DISABLE SELF PALETTE, OTHERWISE YOU WON'T SEE THE RESPLASHED SUITS!!!


All Sprites were resplashed/edited by @AbyssalCreature, with contributions from @Princess-Lucina (Arm Cannons) & @Haihaa (Backgrounds); alongside many manual edits on room layouts to make things look just right in game, as well as whole new base tileset/sprites for the game.

All custom code credits go to @TheyCallMeXander, @Haihaa.

Thank you to all the play-testers that had to go through my shenanigans! Means a lot!

Original AM2R Multitroid mod made by @milesthenerd, Unofficial updates for it were made by @DodoBirby.

How to install

Open the AM2R Launcher, go to the Mod Settings tab, click "Add New Mod," select the mod zip, go back to the Play tab, and install. The steps should be the same for Windows, Linux and MacOS and the Android APK can be created on the Play tab.

How to update

Go to the Mod Settings tab, click "Update Mod," then select the mod zip and proceed like you would after an install.

DEV054 CHANGELOG:

  • Resplashed Torizo sprites to be more akin to AM2R's original palette.
  • All bosses (including mechanical) now have a fusion coloured variant. This includes the addition of new palette strips for all bosses. (Needs further testing)
  • Glowfly enemy (Omega Nest red enemy) resplashed.
  • Blobthrower Blob enemies (Air and Water) are resplashed (Blobthrower Water itself won't be changed cuz its perfect the way it is dont ask me how).
  • Omega palette strip now detects eyes.
  • Genetic Labs green containers are resplashed.
  • The Tileset for Lab Plating is fixed.
  • All rocks that appear from Septoggs are resplashed.
  • Ramulken enemies (Enemy with shell in A6) are resplashed.
