How to make good use of the repository (To get started quickly, see and follow How_To_Experiment_by_using_WTS first.)
- WTS_Documentation allows naïve users to start this system step-by-step.
- How_To_Experiment_by_using_New_WTS allows users to experiment with step-by-step.
- Video clip on top of the readme to let the user-side see how the system works.
- You can check out the necessary modifications to add a new button in Tutorial_Add_New_button folder.
- The Within folder is a WTS that operates as a stepwise linear discriminant analysis (SWLDA) classifier, and Zero is a WTS that operates without training due to transfer learning. The latter case is under development.
- Survey program folder is a unity program for pre-survey, and Post_Survey folder is a unity program for post-survey.
- The DataAcquisition folder contains openvibe designer code that can only be used for data acquisition, and the RestingState folder contains openvibe designer code that can be used to measure eye open and eye close states.
- The PythonPackageInfo folder contains package information for each python version used in WTS. Please check WTS_Documentation for exact package information.
- WorldSystem\WorldDemo\Assets\Scripts\Blink.cs can be a starting point for understanding unity code. We have commented about this code in detail.
- Within session: It extracts significant features from user data through training sessions and then trains them to generate LDA classifiers and use it to predict target buttons.
- Zero session: It has no training session, and it works by using the CNN model in an online session that predict the target button.
OpenViBE's Python Scripting box does not yet support Python 3. In a situation where the CNN model needs to be introduced in WTS, the Version 2 of the WTS is divided into three modules to operate in order to use tensorflow in Python 3. The method of operating the Ver1 and Ver2 WTS was described in detail in step-by-step in the "How_To_Experiment_by_using_New_WTS.pdf" Documentation. Version 1 of the WTS was described in detail in "WTS_Documentation.pdf" documentation (page 7-9).
Implementing it in the following(above) manner was a method when openvibe did not support Python 3. Python 3 is now available for openvibe's Python scripting box. I'm going to check and modify it as soon as possible.
- If you want to use the current WTS, you can implement the function in SourceCode/ProcessingWorld.py and call the function in the second for statement in the def process part of Within/SourceCode/WorldOnline.py. Details are described in Documentation.
