• Set up an Apollo Server to use GraphQL queries and mutations to replace the RESTful API

• Modify the authentication middleware to work with the new GraphQL API

• Create an Apollo Provider so requests can communicate with the Apollo Server

• Refactor the existing code to work with Apollo and GraphQL
