First, I'm not a native english speaker, so maybe I just miss something.
But the following wording sounds "weird" to me and I check with some native English speaking folks who also said it's odd.

I would love to continue the conversation, but before I do, I’d like to level set around the level of seniority that you’re looking for.

I think it's better to say "I'd like to set around the level of seniority..."
