SCM resizes wrong window #8

I'd been wanting to use the resize function for when I open a open/save dialog box to resize it to a size that I like. 32770 I think is the number. When I perform the resize though, SCM resizes the original window and not the open/save dialog box window. I've tried it on a few different applications, and SCM performs in the same manner each time.

Thanks.

Hi @robnewton01,

I have fixed modal windows detection in the version 1.2.1. Unfortunately, I think you won’t be able to set such large window sizes, because Windows has restrictions on them.

Hi @AlexanderPro

Thank you for looking into it for me. Maybe it will let me make a window size better than what I default to now. 👍

Hi @AlexanderPro

On a laptop, it allows a window to be defined that is big enough for my purposes, so thank you very much. There is something else causing an issue, though. After a little bit of time, SCM stops working at all. The mouse shortcut stops bringing up the menu for SCM and I have to exit it and restart it for it to begin working again. I've repeated it several times, and so far SCM has stopped working each time.

This is on windows 11 pro Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3155)

Please check the path in your Windows Registry "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop". Does it have a LowLevelHooksTimeout parameter and what is its value? Have you noticed some delay when opening the menu?

It does not have a LowLevelHooksTimeout parameter. I haven't noticed a delay in opening the menu. It will just stop bringing up the menu after a while.

Hi @AlexanderPro

I don't have the LowLevelHooksTimeout parameter. But I think I've seen now that it's not that SCM stops working, it's that it doesn't work on certain windows. msconfig is one, Task Manager is another, and there are others I can't recall at the moment.

Hi @robnewton01,

I have reproduced the error and will think how to fix it.
