Welcome to the AllianceCMS Wiki!

As we're still working on the first Alpha release, and the code base is still being designed and worked on (it's a moving target for the time being), so there isn't much documentation to peruse right now.

Since we believe that documentation is one of the most important aspects of a piece of software (other than the community that surrounds that software), once we have something for you to play with we will be focusing on the documentation for AllianceCMS.

Roadmaps

About AllianceCMS

For right now, here's some light reading to get you familiar with what AllianceCMS is all about:

  • History and Philosophy: Here's a little info regarding the history and motivation of AllianceCMS.

  • Not Your Typical CMS: Here's an explanation of what AllianceCMS is, and what AllianceCMS is not.

  • Features: Here's a brief list of features that have already been implemented in the current 'acms/alpha1/dev' branch.

  • Terminology: We explain some common terms that we use in the AllianceCMS sphere and their origins. This document also touches a little bit on our motivations and philosophy.
