For instance, an example that uses both allocv and allonect?

i put an examples folder at the root of the repo. it works for me.

The only thing is that the rule 'make gatherexamples' puts symlinks to each module's examples into a directory called examples/.

well, call that gatheredExamples and leave examples for module-mixing examples.

gather examples is no longer relevant with the current system. Any of the above approaches should work.
