Kards 1.3.1

This is a quick maintenance release to update some dependancies, squash a couple of bugs and get rid of an annoying Gatekeeper warning on Mac that seems to have appeared in the last couple of days leading to installs being deleted.

Bugs fixed:

• Fullscreen Kards on Macs with Displays have separate Spaces not set could not be closed
• Mac Gatekeeper issue fixed

Kards 1.3.0

Another 16 months later and, amazingly, over 7500 downloads of 1.2.0, we are proud to release Kards 1.3.0!

We're pretty happy with it and it's well tested, but there may be small bugs here and there. Please report any bugs you find as GitHub issues so we can work to improve Kards for all.

The new features are:

• SDI pathological test pattern (Bars kard -> SDI)
• Single colour field generation (Bars kard -> Single)
• Ability to add a mask over the test kard (More menu -> Mask) - thanks @tcconway
• Toggleable raster box (More menu -> Raster box)

Kards v1.2.0

After 16 months and, amazingly, over 3000 downloads of 1.1.0, we are proud to release Kards 1.2.0!

We're pretty happy with it and it's well tested, but there may be small bugs here and there. Please report any bugs you find as GitHub issues so we can work to improve Kards for all.

The big headline features are:

• New LED card style, for use with LED walls and a motion type we think makes sense
• New card type to aid de-ghosting of screens
• New bars type aimed at HDR displays
• New "About" infobox to make it easier to tell which version you have installed (More > About)
• A bunch of framework changes and upgrades (Electron v12 > v18) which all help to speed it up.
• REST and OSC APIs for control
• The info shows the computer's hostname and IP address
• Better & quicker generation of images (and they don't show the clock or IP address anymore)
• More audio test options
• Share the current test card config to a Kards Online link

Kards v1.1.0

Alteka Kards 1.1.0 🎉🎉

Building on the success of our v1 production release, we've improved a few areas and added a few little features.

Thanks to everyone who has provided feedback and bug reports on all previous versions along the way, your help has been invaluable.

New:

• Can now import / export Kards settings as a file. This includes any custom logo set.
• Easier to get to the logs, and they make more sense.
• Added basic (anonymous) analytics
• Checks GitHub to see if new version is available. Provides link to download.
• Some more advanced settings are now in the settings file you can export and import.
• Added a clock to the test card output when Show Info is enabled.
• Diagonal motion is much slower

Improvements:

• Huge improvements to image export. Now actually works with no card enabled. More reliable at setting wallpapers too.
• Handles mixed scale monitors on Windows much more smoothly
• Voice creation of name is improved. Happens less often, and uses base64 to pass it around.

Alteka Kards 1.0.0 🎉🎉

Excitingly, we're proud to announce the release of 1.0.0! This release is ready for use in production.
Thanks to everyone who has provided feedback and bug reports on all previous versions along the way, your help has been invaluable.

New:

• You can now export a card without having to enable it first
• There's a "saving" spinner while the card is exported, rather than the UI just hanging, and an in-app notification when complete
• There are predefined colours in the colour picker
• Keyboard shortcuts:
  • Ctrl-f (win) / Cmd-f (mac) to toggle the card
  • Ctrl-i / Cmd-i to toggle info
  • Ctrl-m / Cmd-m to toggle motion
  • Ctrl-w / Cmd-w to toggle windowed mode
  • Ctrl-s / Cmd-s to export test card as image (uses current settings for file or wallpaper etc)
  • Esc to close
• Clipboard awareness - can copy/paste in all text fields

Improvements:

• Better channel identification and phase audio - sorry to anyone who'd used a previous version through a system with subs...
• Transitions on card changes, more animation when elements are shown and hidden
• Info circle has more awareness of size of contents and size of card
• Name card now still shows its icon even if no name is set
• Better handling of screens being connected, disconnected, DPI scaling or resolution changing
• Slightly better Touch Bar support on Macs
• General UI tidying and much more polish

Public Beta - v0.8.0

Main change is the much clearer and more visual screen selection tool. This also allows you to move cards between screen whilst enabled - even in windowed mode.

We now also support dark mode.
Audio Sync card tweak - centre 'ticks' now flash on beep frame.
Some internal restructuring has occurred which should make it more reliable.
