The contents of this repository will allow you to reproduce the manuscript "Teaching modeling in introductory statistics: A comparison of formula and tidyverse syntaxes" by Amelia McNamara. A pre-print of this paper is available online.

If you are primarily interested in the analysis described in the paper, the contents of this top-level directory will be of most interest. The file PaperDraft.Rmd contains the paper, and should be able to knitted as-is.

If you are interested in how the data was generated and cleaned, the contents of the directory data/processing_data will be of interest. This directory contains files that move from (for example) RMarkdown documents for a class to summary statistics about the number of R functions used.
