Interactive Map Application

Description

This application is envisaged as a “mobile first“ website that will operate equally well on desktop computers. It will provide profiling for all countries through the presentation of demographic, climatic, geographical and other data. The application integrates with various APIs to fetch data such as country information, Wikipedia summaries, news articles, currency data, and weather forecasts. It retrieves Wikipedia summaries, news articles, currency information, and bank holidays data for selected countries.

Usage

  • Get current user location and country information.
  • Use the country dropdown menu to select a country and view its boundaries.
  • Display weather forecasts for the capital city of the selected country.
  • Click on the map to reveal the name of the ocean at the clicked location.
  • Explore additional features such as city clusters, earthquakes, and weather forecasts.
