Problem you may be having, or feature you want

When the sleep timer pauses the playback it lowers the volume. Right before the pause happens it's so quite that I cannot listen to the podcast. When I resume (because I'm not at sleep yet) I missed a few seconds because the volume lowering.

Suggested solution

Rewind a few seconds after the sleep timer has been paused playback.
