Toohak is now officially out of its Beta phase! Version 1.0 brings various improvements to the application that increase its value as an educational tool as well as its entertainment value.
New features
- New protocol that prevents modified clients from being able to cheat
- Music!
- Ability to embed pictures in questions
- Post-question statistics e.g. how many people chose each answer
- Clients can see all correct answers at the end of the question
- All events are logged for later inspection, if required
- Player answers are saved to a CSV file to allow identification of the questions that were most often answered incorrectly and with which answers
Compatibility notice
Due to the new protocol, Toohak v1.0 is not compatible with any previous versions of Toohak. Connecting an older client to a v1.0 server will result in communication errors. Additionally, due to the addition of images in quiz questions, the save format has been altered. Quizzes created using older versions of Toohak cannot be opened using v1.0 and vice versa.
