When making a new world, and increasing the Richness of a given ore type, the in-game generated ore field is generated as though Richness were at its default value.

Size is respected, only Richness is ignored.

To Reproduce

  1. Make a new world.
  2. Set Richness to a non-default value.
  3. Compare with adjacent vanilla ore patches.

Hello @kirazy

I've just tested it, I do agree the default amount might be a bit low but the richness does change when i test it. Could you provide more info like:

  • seed used
  • settings
  • Seen results
  • Expected results

We might need to increase the default values for the generation.

-- Edit: ah we had a .1 multiplier on the richness as a default. Removed that default should be in next version when released

Ah, that would explain why the ore values are an order of magnitude smaller than the vanilla ore values.

On the seed 3694760396, Coal was 365,000 while Saphirite and Stiratite were 53,000 and 39,000 respectively.
