Description:

  • I am trying to make a para-drop mission, Russians para-drop onto the map, what ends up happening is the C-130s go and land on whatever airfield is closest and if the troops do jump out they then want to go back into the C-130. i have the planes waypoint for the paradrop and the troops move to where i want them to move. I have 10 C-130 for the drop.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Step one- Any map
    -Step two- add the planes
    -step three- add as many squads that will fill the planes.
    -Step Four- Set the Planes waypoint as Paradrop
    -Step Five- Set the Squads to Move anywhere.
    -Step Six- Play and see if it repeats.

Where did the issue occur?

Try to reproduce the issue only with the mods required.

Thanks to your extensive issue report, I was able to reproduce it with just Achilles + CBA_A3.
The essential detail was that you were placing them in Eden instead of Zeus. If I place a group in a chopper in Eden and assign a paradrop waypoint (doesn't matter if Eden or later in Zeus), they do not get unassigned from the vehicle when paradropping.

Edit:

  • When I try with units placed in Zeus, I'm unable to reproduce it as in earlier tests.
  • Also happens for Eden (Multiplayer).
  • Also happens when I use the paradrop keybind.

Perhaps this is a BI issue, as far when trying to fix the issue there are two outcomes:

  1. Disallowing the group to enter the transport helicopter makes the helicopter unresponsive and stuck over the paradrop waypoint
  2. Units want to get back into the helicopter and the helicopter lands and they get back in.
