What is Disasteye?

"Disasteye" is a Natural Disaster Event Tracker android app that provides an aestethic way to visualize natural disasters around the world in real time. Disasteye utilizes both NASA's Earth Observatory Natural Event Tracker (EONET) API and Google Maps for a majority of it's functionality.

Demo

How to run the app

Step 1: Open android studio, and clone the disasteye repository.

Step 2: In the local.properties under Grade Scripts folder, under line 8, insert the following statement: "GMP_KEY=APIKEY", replacing the "APIKEY" with a Google Map API key.

Step 3: Run the app on an emulator.
