Points West broadcasts expire after 24 hours, which is probably why they aren't found. My guess is that get_iplayer isn't handling this properly, so it keeps the programs in the cache even though they aren't available. |
I don't think that's the issue -- I'm not in the BBC West region, I wait until the particular episode I want is available on iPlayer, about 1hr after broadcast, then I launch Get iPlayer Automator to get it, this usually involves a wait while the cache updates. But on both 2022-03-09 and 2022-03-17 the download failed as described; whatever the problem is, it's unlikely to be a stale cache entry |
When downloading from BBC iPlayer a number of downloads, which are not in my history, they have failed with the solutions showing 'Reason unknown' and the log showing on some programmes 'Reversions failed' and others simply 'failed.

To be downloaded as it is available on iPlayer, - download failed
