Work I did on redesigning the home page with a modern look inspired by the Blender and KDE home pages.
All but the last two commits (02947ff and 17f891f) don't actually belong in this PR, they are just stuff I'd already been working on in my
mainbranch. If people like the suggested design I am happy to open a new PR with just the relevant commits.
