Azure 快速上手项目，是由微软(中国)有限公司全渠道事业部的技术顾问团队创建并贡献的项目。目的是为了让对Azure 感兴趣的用户快速尝试Azure Mooncake 上的各种组件和服务。用户可以根据兴趣浏览项目的对应子目录，了解Azure Mooncake 对应组件和服务的信息，并通过动手实验来体验感兴趣的功能。
Azure 快速上手目前包括6 个主题：
Azure SQL 数据仓库是基于 SQL 的完全托管 PB 级云数据仓库。它极具弹性，用户可在几分钟内完成设置并在数秒内缩放容量。可单独缩放计算和存储，针对复杂的分析工作负荷进行突发计算，或者为归档场景减少仓库，并根据使用的内容进行支付，而不拘泥于预定义的群集配置 - 与传统数据仓库解决方案相比，可获得更高的成本效率。
HDInsight 将 Hadoop 和 Spark 的丰富生产力套件与你喜欢的开发环境（例如 Visual Studio 和 Eclipse）结合使用，并支持 IntelliJ for Scala、Python、R、Java 和 .NET。数据科学家可合并代码、统计方程和可视化内容，将 Jupyter 和 Zeppelin 这两种最广泛使用的笔记本进行集成，提炼有关数据的信息。HDInsight 也是唯一与 Microsoft R Server 集成的托管云 Hadoop 解决方案。与开源 R 相比，R Server 中的多线程数学库和透明并行能够多处理达 1000 倍的数据并且处理速度也能加快至 50 倍，从而帮助你定型更准确的模型以获得比之前更好的预测。
主要是介绍Azure Mooncake 上的各种人工智能服务，如人脸识别、情绪识别等等。认知服务为开发者提供了一组 API 和 SDK，从而将微软公司不断演进的人工智能技术扩展到广大开发者手中。通过认知服务，您的应用可以轻松地获得智能。首批登陆中国的 API 包括人脸识别、情绪识别和计算机视觉。
主要是介绍如何利用Azure 服务端平台的能力如何快速构建一个支持用户手机端的应用。涉及到的技术主要包括：ASP.NET、Xamarin 等。微软的平台和技术可以支持开发者从服务端到客户端的完整技术栈。利用Azure 平台的能力可以支持开发人员快速实现面向终端用户的应用。
持续集成（Continuous integration，缩写为 CI），一种软件工程流程，将所有工程师对于软件的工作复本，每天集成数次到共用主线上。微软Team Foundation Server 支持持续集成能力，开发人员可以通过TFS 或者其SaaS版本Visual Studio Online 实现持续集成过程。
微软物联网解决方案中，最核心的组件是IoT 中心(IoT Hub)。依靠 Microsoft Azure IoT 中心轻松安全地连接物联网 (IoT) 资产。使用设备到云的遥测数据，了解设备和资产的状态，在设备需要关注时立即采取措施。在云到设备消息中，可靠地向连接的设备发送命令和通知，并通过确认回执跟踪消息传递。通过持久的方法发送设备消息，以适应间歇性连接的设备。
IoT 中心支持使用适用于多个平台（包括 Linux、Windows 和实时操作系统）的开放源代码设备 SDK 添加新设备并连接现有设备。使用标准协议和自定义协议，包括 HTTP、高级消息队列协议 (AMQP) 和 MQ 遥测传输 (MQTT)。
借助 Azure IoT 中心新的设备管理功能，管理员可在云端大规模地远程维护、更新和管理 IoT 设备。免除自定义设备管理解决方案的开发和维护任务，或者无需再花费资源维护全球资产，从而节省了时间和成本。
Azure Mooncake 内置 Linux 虚拟机映像的支持。其中包括Cent OS、Ubuntu Linux 和 Debian 等发布分支。用户可以在Azure 上创建和使用Linux 虚拟机和计算群集。
