Instructables - Run Windows 3.1,95 on a PSP

Mods

  • DBS 1.5 + DOSBox PSP

Using the DOSBox PSP Keyboard

Because of the lack of a keyboard on the PSP, DOSBox uses p-sprint button combinations for keyboard input.

DBS

DBS was written by CrazyC and Gaby_64 that boots Windows from DOSBox much more easily. And you can also boot Windows 95 in two and a half minutes. Useful if you only want Windows, and quickly; and that's important, since p-sprint sucks.

Boot Menu

When started this program, you should see Dosbox Menu, Hold Digital-Left and press X, this will go into numeric key mode. Then press Square twice, it’ll get you into Boot Menu. Then here’s the key if you need to boot to certain Windows:

  • Windows 3.1 – Square, Square (then type win to start)
  • Windows 95 – Square, Triangle
  • Windows 98 – Triangle, Square
  • Windows XP (WTF?) – Triangle, Triangle

Windows XP

A small team of hackers has started an initiative to port WinXP to PSP.
