Extracting fluxes from physics grid (before applying observation grid) #396

Is there a straightforward way to extract isochrones from the physicsgrid file (i.e. dust-extinguished fluxes before applying incompleteness, bias, error, etc.)? Or more generally, some info on how to get the info in the physicsgrid file out of hd5 format and what the columns are? This in itself could enable lots of BEAST science along (heavily/differentially) extincted sightlines!

This is directly related to #57.
Such information is definitely needed. Maybe a good topic for the next HackDay?

Note that the observation model is not applied to the physics grid until during fitting. The two grids are kept separate, so should not be a problem getting this info from the physics grid (sed grid).

Exactly - the info is already there in the physics grid file. Perhaps a good option might be to include a quick utility script to allow folks to get things in/out of hd5 (for now), or just some more explicit documentation cf. #57 ? This would also (presumably) make it much easier for users to supply their ASTs in the format needed for BEAST ingestion..
