When the player accepts the Lord Wants Rival Captured quest, it will be cancelled if a war starts between the quest giver's faction and the player's current affiliated faction.

After this event, it would seem like the game will crash if the quest giver is not in a settlement.

It might also crash if the quest giver's clan is at war with the player's clan.
