The effect of having the lines even if the mesh is clipped is quite cool. However, for complex meshes, it gets really messy, so clipping the edges along with the mesh is preferable.

A toggle could be added to dictate if the edges will be clipped or not, giving the possibility of both effects being available for anyone who may want it.
