We have a weekly firmware update this week, although it’s a bit light since COVID left Bar with the brain power of a baked potato this week.

V0.66 adds a heart beat system so that if the wifi network goes down the user interface will let you know that the connection has been lost.

It also adds a system for checking the firmware version number easily by pressing the “Test” button which will be helpful for debugging.

Most significantly we got our FIRST COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTION THIS WEEK! Forums member ronlawrence3 noticed that we could make the maslow.yaml file more clear by adding some comments about what each setting does. I thought that I had tried that and it didn’t work, but I was wrong! Ronlawrence3 fixed that by making our first community contribution to the code which is very very exciting. Hopefully there will be many more to come.

We did also work on some significant re-working of the internal mechanisms of the calibration process, but that is a big code change which will need more testing. So expect that in next week’s update.
