getting TypeError: Config is not a constructor

var JsonDB = require('node-json-db');
var Config = require('node-json-db/dist/lib/JsonDBConfig');

var db = new JsonDB(new Config("myDataBase", true, false, '/'));

You need to take/deconstruct the exact object, not the full exported one.

const JsonDB = require('node-json-db').JsonDB;
const Config = require('node-json-db/dist/lib/JsonDBConfig').Config;

var db = new JsonDB(new Config("myDataBase", true, false, '/'));

ESM import has been available since nodejs 12 which is the latest LTS.

If you're using anything older than 12, I'd advise to update your version of nodejs.

Nonetheless, I'll add a small section about nodejs 10.
