What has been changed in "a8fffad: install-kext.sh to unix file-format"? Did you just change the line endings? If so git can be setup to handle this automatically, although the line endings should have already been in OS X format so I'll have to take a look.

"4e263d1: removing platform specific files" seems generally correct but I'll take a better look after Christmas.

"aba3682: Mac OS X 10.4 SDK is not available on OS X 10.6" is wrong.

install-kext.sh had ^M line-endings. If git can handle this automatically it's fine.

These commits were more or less needed to get Heimdall working on my system.
They may not be well-tested or anything.

Anyway I would like to see the OS X Readme pulled since many OS X users use homebrew.
