Beowulf in IPA

This repo contains the original text of the Old English epic poem "Beowulf" transliterated into the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), available in a number of formats, and the script file to build them from the source text file (src/Beowulf_in_IPA.txt).

My personal favourite is build/mac-say-beowulf.sh. Run this in the terminal on a Mac and it'll speak the entire thing in the dulcet tones of Fiona, assuming you have Fiona installed. If not, she's easily findable in System Preferences->Dictation & Speech->Text to Speech, then in the System Voice drop-down click Customize. Fiona's in this extensive list… somewhere… o.o
