This is a beginning of carbon aware implementation for the application. Data transfer has been reduced drastically, optimization carried out at backend and frontend to minimize loaded resources, caching improved. A lot more can still be done.
Front end simplified unifying to one search page several separated options, namely the formed "list" views. The web view and the indexes are based on a transformed and enriched version of the files. At data entry stage, files can be split and shorter encoding can be used with pointers only. The application maintains a library of local data which instead has fully expanded files at its disposal, so that computations do not have to be re-run every time. Some things are however not immediately updated.
