Installation

This page describes the installation/update process.

To install the app for the first time:

• Download the ZIP file called RandomizerTMF.[version].[your OS].zip from the latest release in Assets.
• Extract it anywhere on your desktop.
• Open the RandomizerTMF folder.
• Double click on RandomizerTMF.exe if Windows, RandomizerTMF if Linux.
• Initial configuration window pops up.
  • There, select your game installation folder (if you don't know see here).
• Done! The app is now usable.

To update the app with a new version:

• Download the ZIP file called RandomizerTMF.[version].[your OS].zip from the latest release in Assets.
• Overwrite your previous RandomizerTMF folder with the new one in the ZIP file. You won't lose any data.
• Done!

To improve your experience

• Don't be in fullscreen mode. Be in windowed mode.
  • Don't maximize the window. It will make the experience worse.
  • Resize individual sides of the window to roughly match the maximized version. Explained here and here.
  • If you don't like windowed mode, you can install Borderless Gaming (or support it through Steam) to make the game borderless, allowing the small windows/panels/modules to show up at the top. The two steps above have to be followed as well in this case for the best experience. Installation is explained here.
• Be in fullscreen mode, but move the small windows/panels/modules to your second monitor.
  • Avoid clicking on anything else than the SKIP, RELOAD MAP, or END SESSION buttons. Other interactions with the Randomizer TMF user interface will minimize the game.
