Would it make sense to replace the term "adaptor signature" with "pre-signature" to be consistent with the literature (see #268 (comment))?

I think I mentioned it before but I still think the
unsigned char *adaptor
should besecp256k1_pubkey *adaptor
in all the functions since converting from bytes to a pubkey is costly and we don't want users to do unnecessary work by parsing the same adaptor bytes multiple times.
