Upload Extensions comes with British English language package. If you speak any other language please consider reading this page.

Available language packages

Here is the list with the links to currently available language packages for Upload Extensions.

How to create a new language package for Upload Extensions?

The guidelines below describe the standard for creating language packages for the extension. They will be changed when the process becomes automated in one of the next releases.

1. Translate the extension: change the strings on the right of => symbols and add your copyright to the 6th line of each translated file with the tag @translated and your name on the right of the tag. Use available language packages as examples.
2. Give us the information about your translation and necessary links in extension's topic on phpbb.com or in Issues section in this repository.
3. Then we will create a language branch for you in extension's repository. Please send your PRs for language packages to the corresponding language branches.

The information about your translation should include:

• original name of the language,
• name of the language in English,
• corresponding version number of Upload Extensions,
• the word version translated into your language,
• version number of the language package (optional),
• comments (optional).

Add the following links:

• the direct link to your language package (in zip format) with the word DOWNLOAD translated into your language,
• the link to the repository of the language package with the translated word repository (optional),
• the link to the webpage of the language package with the translated word webpage (optional).

Please notify us about the updates of your language packages.

NOTE: the previous version of Upload Extensions contains some language packages that can be looked at for quick start.

The version checking of language packages is one of planned features for the next releases of Upload Extensions.

Why should I avoid direct pull requests with translations?

The new version of Upload Extensions comes with lots of new features. Maintenance of all language packages became a difficult task to do (because we need to contact authors each time a new portion of language variables is added).

Moreover the new feature for language packages management is planned to be implemented in one of the next releases of Upload Extensions.

Please send your PRs for language packages to the corresponding language branches.

The extension becomes a bigger project, now is the time when its language packages should be maintained separately by their authors.
