What is GDPR?

GDPR is the new European privacy law that has forced website owners all over the world to update their privacy settings in order to avoid penalties

The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) standardizes data protection law across all 28 EU countries and imposes strict new rules on controlling and processing the PII (personally identifiable information). It also extends the protection of personal data and data protection rights by giving control back to EU residents. GDPR replaces the 1995 EU Data Protection Directive and goes into force on May 25, 2018. It also supersedes the 1998 UK Data Protection Act.

Is W3 Total Cache GDPR compliant?

Yes, W3 Total Cache is GDPR compliant. If you use our plugin, we have taken all the steps necessary to ensure that our users and the customers who are using the websites powered by W3 Total Cache do not have to worry about the GDPR compliance of our plugin. Our policies and usage of data pertain only to those who install and use our software, not the visitors to the websites.

How can I be sure about all this?

Consumers will have a right to be informed about the collection of their information.

W3 Total Cache does not collect information from the users of your website. However, we do collect data from the users of our software, visitors to our website, or recipients of our newsletter or any other information regarding our product.

Consumers have the right to have their information erased, also known as the right to be forgotten.

The users who are subscribed to our plugin can unsubscribe at any moment. When the user unsubscribe all the collected information of the user is deleted.

Consumers will have the right to object about how their data is used — including for direct marketing. They can also object to profiling when companies automatically process data to make assumptions about a person for marketing.

W3 Total cache uses the information the users provided for announcing new releases, updates, newsletter and everything that is related to W3 Total Cache. We are not using any information for 3rd party marketing.

No data from the users which are visiting any website powered with W3 Total Cache will be stored in the cloud or sent the software outside EU.

When the W3 Total Cache users want to contact us, make a request for Professional support, subscribe for the newsletter or any other form that requests his/her personal data, they are obligated to Agree with Terms & Conditions.
