Hi, still experimenting with building some automations based on target sensors.
I notice that on a HA restart, the target sensors initially go to ON status (approx 30s after the restart is initiated on my i5 intel NUC) and then a minute later it will get evaluated and the appropriate status gets set. I believe the minute later is related to the re-evaluation period of the sensor. The restart ON happens regardless of the status of the sensor prior to restart - i.e. if the sensor was OFF then on restart it goes to ON and on re-evaluation it goes back to OFF.
This messes up my automation that is triggered by a state change of the target sensor - in my case my heating will toggle ON then OFF.
Is this intended behaviour? Can the restart respect the pre-restart state until it is next evaluated?
I guess I could create some delays in the automation based on the restart event - e.g. a delay of 5 minutes after platform start trigger is detected but I prefer not to use a time-delay as there is no guarantee that the delay will be long enough.
