Objectives

The idea for this chat system is that it can be used by users who are not excessively technical, but at the same time can also be used by really technical users. Obviously, the more technical the user is, the more control can be exerted over the information that is sent.

Scandals about security breaches of important companies that should guarantee the security of the user's data continue to come to light. That is why the objective of this project is to work with the minimum amount of necessary data. In other words, to enter a new conversation with a user, during the previous mandatory registration, only a user name and a password are required.

As mentioned in the "motivation" section, the encrypted content of the users is stored in a main server until the option of storing its content in a user's own server is chosen.

In the worst case, a security breach would not directly affect the user, since no records of any kind are stored on the user, with the exception of the IP address from which it is connected. The information of the user's chats is encrypted with an encrypted key that only the user has under his control, so that the consequences would be minimal.

Leaving aside fateful situations, the objective that this project will always be to guarantee the highest possible technological safety, provided that the user complies with adequate safety guidelines.
