Buck Full-Node Desktop GUI Wallet - v4.0.0 for Mac (High Sierra, Catalina)

Mac Buck Wallet Installation

  1. If you do not have already installed, install Java: https://java.com/en/download/
  2. Download the buck-gui-wallet-mac-4_0_0.zip file
  3. After downloading, click your downloads folder and select "Show in Finder"
  4. In Finder, CTRL + Click the BuckDesktopWallet app, then select Open
  5. The following message will appear:

"“BuckDesktopWallet” is an application downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?"

  1. Select Open
  2. If this is the first time running Buck, the wallet will download the crypto keys
  3. When the crypto keys have finished downloading the wallet will start
  4. Drag the BuckDesktopWallet to your desktop (so you can easily find it later)

Your Private Keys

Keep your private keys safe! Always back them up right away!

Your wallet file is located at:

Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Buck/wallet.dat

If you make an encrypted wallet.dat, don't lose or share the password!

Buck is experimental and a work-in-progress. Use at your own risk.

Upgading From a Previous Wallet

If upgrading from a previous BUCK Mac wallet:

  1. Backup your wallet.dat file found in ~/Library/Application Support/Buck/
  2. Delete all files in ~/Library/Application Support/Buck/ EXCEPT do not delete the wallet.dat file!
  3. Delete this folder: ~/Library/Application Support/ZcashParams

Start the new 4.0.0 BUCK Mac Wallet
