After a review of the usage of output types in several CGIAR open access repositories¹ we have come up with a list of proposed actions for MARLO:

  • Rename Multimedia (Audio) to Audio
  • Rename Blog to Blog Post
  • Rename Book chapter to Book Chapter
  • Rename Policy brief to Brief
  • Rename Outcome case study to Outcome Case Study
  • Rename Conference paper to Conference Paper
  • Rename Special Issue to Journal Issue
  • Rename Article for media to Newsletter
  • Rename User manual to User Manual
  • Rename Maps to Map
  • Rename Research report to Report
  • Rename Computer Software to Software
    • Re-classify some Computer Software products as Source Code
  • Re-classify some Technical Report products as Working Paper or Report
  • Rename Training courses material to Training Material
  • Rename Working paper to Working Paper

This only includes proposed changes to existing MARLO output types. We are tracking proposed changes to CG Core's own controlled vocabulary and schema in its own repository, where there will be some new types added.
