CU Stats Fest

What is CU Stats Fest

      CU Stats Fest is a data analysis competition. You will be part of a 4 person team that will be assigned a mentor from the Center of Innovative Design & Analysis (CIDA).

What's in this repository

Directories

  • Background
    • Here you will provide domain knowledge, hypotheses, and analysis plans.
  • Data
    • The data you use will be stored in this directory.
      Important: You will need to create this directory locally (after cloning your repository). The .gitignore file included ensures that you do not share sensitive data on an online repository.
  • Code
    • Here you will include any scripts or notebooks that contain code for your analysis.
  • Reports
    • Place the report that you will submit for CU Stats Fest in this directory.

How to Participate in CU Stats Fest

      CU Stats Fest is open from February 3rd 2022 and submissions must be commited & pushed before February 5th 2022 at 12:00PM Mountain Time. Closing ceremony and awards will be presented at 2:00PM Mountain Time.

  1. Sign up for the event using the Registration Form

If you are unfamiliar with GitHub, you are welcome to submit your work directly to Lala (laura.grau@cuanschutz.edu)

  1. Create your own github repo called /CU-Stats_Fest by using the ``Use this template'' button from the base CU-Stats_Fest. (Learn more about template repositories here)

  2. Provide github users @Dekermanjian and @graulaurak with access to your repository by adding @Dekermanjian and @graulaurak as collaborators. Instructions for adding a collaborator are found here

  3. Clone your remote repository using git clone <link to your created repository(from step 2)> so that you have a local copy on your machine.

  4. CU Stats Fest participants

    1. Develop their data analysis
    2. Place their final report in the Reports directory
    3. Commit & push their report to their remote repository.

  1. Participants agree to not attempt linkage attacks nor attempt to identify patients within the provided data sets.
