In this repository we store data that:
- represent the etymology proposed in the EDLIL by de Vaan as LOD
- link them to the lemmas of the LiLa collection
This is an example of etymology, which can also be visualized using LodLive.
We model the etymologies using the LemonEty
ontology. LemonEty
is based on Ontolex
and is therefore easily integrated into LiLa.

The Etymological Dictionary of Latin and the other Italic Languages, authored by M. de Vaan, is copyrighted by Brill.
The dictionary entries are not represented. The data included here only serve to express them according to the selected ontology and link them to the Knowledge Base of Latin lemmas of LiLa.
