About Us

We are Flurry, and we're dedicated to keeping you safe on slick roads. Our hardware-software solution reports conditions continuously without user intervention, providing life-saving data to efficiently track potential hazards and manage driver safety.

Our team consists of Emmaline Mai, Joanna Yao, Meghana Rajeev, Roshni Surpur & Steven Wu.

Slick road conditions - ice, sleet, rain, and snow - are an invisible threat to driver safety. These conditions lead to 1.3 million accidents and $31 billion in economic costs in the US annually. Flurry's solution depends on the onboard diagnostics (OBD2) port standardized on almost all vehicles, where we leverage existing sensors to automatically calculate road slickness as you drive. Our MVP plan is to build a cross-platform mobile app with an interactive map showing slick points of interest, along with a self-reporting tool to manually add more slip hazard locations to the map. The Flurry app will also include an analytics summary for each fleet company that uses Flurry, as well as individual drivers within the company.
