heyo! You're on point - absolutely do reduce the distance by 1.75mm, as in, offset it further towards the center of the socket. I've had to calculate this from datasheets for the AE to M adapter work (is in this repo, converts a 2230 card to 2242), and the M footprint there has an "inserted card edge" line on Fab layer. It's exactly 1.75mm indeed - I didn't refer to the spec to that one, just to the datasheet of the socket I used, but it's been on point as far as I've checked my cards after production, +- 0.5mm. The picture you've posted, has it right too. Hope this helps!
