The company wide open source policy for CSC - IT Center for Science describes the basic framework of using, contributing to and developing open source software at CSC. The purpose of the policy is to codify current de facto practices and to encourage employees to use and produce open source software. CSC believes that improved collaboration is the greatest benefit that open source can provide and for that reason this policy is written with emphasis on practices that facilitate smooth collaboration.
