Similar to #4860 for Minnesota, the states of Indiana and Pennsylvania have now added cases of reinfection to their data consistent with the definition of the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) wherein reinfections are when a person tests positive for COVID-19 more than 90 days after a previous positive test.
Pennsylvania: Unknown number of reinfections reported on November 13. We have back distributed the reinfection cases using the data available on the PA open data portal in #4911. We have confirmation from the state that this data is organized by date of report and thus only represents addition of reinfection cases and not alteration of the confirmed and probable data reported previously.
Indiana: 3,952 reinfection cases bulk reported on November 11 (internet archive screenshot), all of which had occurred since September 1 of this year. We will be contacting the state department of health to determine whether these can be back distributed. The state has pointed us to this file which we used to correct our historical data from September 1, 2021 to present (here).
