Gnome shell extension Mediasplayers

Gnome shell extension Mediasplayers is a simple extension for displaying player control, music and music cover in Gnome Shell.

Players supported (depend of the correct MPRIS support by the players) :

  • Banshee (full fonctionnal)
  • Rhythmbox
  • Clementine
  • Quodlibet
  • Audacious
  • Guayadeque
  • MPD serveur (for Gnome Musique Player for example)

Installation

  1. Put directory mediasplayers@ycdref/ in ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/
  2. As Root, put the file mediasplayers@ycdref/org.gnome.shell.extensions.mediasplayers.gschema.xml in /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/
  3. As Root, # glib-compile-schemas /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/
  4. Restart Gnome Shell ([Alt]+[F2], r)
  5. Enjoy, contribute, ...

Don't forgot to put on Dbus Mpris and grab couver in you music app preference Extensions.
