HABTM Relationship with the Tags model

Could the instructions for this plug-in be updated to include some more more detailed examples?

I understand most of it, but the HABTM relation that needs to be set in the model for the purposes of retrieving tags related is a bit confusing, so I have no idea what code would need to be used for this.
