We need to identify minors during the account creation process and prevent saving personally identifiable data until they are at least 16. Our current privacy policy claims users must be 18 years old to join the website. If we keep this language, we would need to stop saving data on anyone below 18, or completely block them from creating an account (I pref the just don't save data option).
