FAM label text isn't working programmatically

I was trying to set the FAM (Floating Action Menu) label programmatically using the setMenuButtonLabelText(String text) method but isn't working. The only way that work if set the label in the XML.

I explain:

If I set the label text in the XML, then the setMenuButtonLabelText() will work, but the shadow of the label text of the XML is still here.

Else of I don't set the label text in the XML then the setMenuButtonLabelText() will not work. The text of the FAM doesn't appear.

If someone know how to solve it, please let me now.
